My daughter worked at the site today as an extra-credit project for her high school history class.
Today is our last day here for Spring semester 2003. We will return to the site beginning Monday, June 9th and work Mondays through Thursdays until the end of the 3rd week of June.
Probably around the end of June we will see the bulldozers and demolition crews onsite and then the building of the Lancaster Convention Center. We are hopeful that, at the very least, the front facades of these historic buildings will be preserved and incorporated into the final design. Maybe some of the artifacts we have found, along with photos taken during the excavation process will be displayed within the new buildings.
