Days 13 and 14

We spent 2 days preparing the area for the dig. The cement was removed a few days earlier and the fill had to be removed, then the site would be gridded.

A few artifacts were recovered and Michael holds a bag containing his finds. We ate lunch inside Stevens' office. When we had first arrived, we all put our soda and gatorade bottles on the "patio" area where we always had in the past. At some point in the morning, Michael realized that we had a natural refrigerator and put my gatorade into the pile of snow. After I told him what a great idea it was, he put everyone's drink bottles into the snow! It takes an 8-year-old to think of these things :)
