Work ended the weekend before Thanksgiving and will resume next week. In the meantime, today we had to clear out all the bricks we have been piling up inside the garage so the construction crew can remove the cement floor. Our excavation will begin in what used to be a side courtyard along the north side of Thaddeus Stevens' house. It used to have a porch along the second floor but over the years, the second floors of this building and the next house were connected, creating a roof over the courtyard.
